I’m Goin’ Where, Where, Where

by Richard W. Webb

start with chorus, repeat after each verse

I’m goin’ where, where, where the Spirit leads me.
I’m gonna share, share, share the gospel word.
And I don’t care, care, care what anybody else might say,
I’m gonna sing and shout and praise my blessed Lord.

verse 1

You know the Father wants to walk beside us,
Yes, and the Father wants his will to be done.
You know the Father wants to break our bonds of sin;
That’s why the Father sent to us his only Son.

verse 2

You know that Jesus gave up his place in heaven,
And came to earth and on to Calvary.
And Jesus loved us so much he spread his arms out wide
And then he let them nail his body to the tree.

verse 3

I’ve got the Spirit in my fingers,
Yeah, and the Spirit in my feet.
I’ve got the Spirit in my heart, my Lord, and in my mind.
The Holy Spirit makes my life complete.

verse 4

You know the Father only wants us to obey him,
And Jesus shows us how it can be done.
And the Spirit came from heaven to be right here in my heart,
And that’s the trinity, the three in one.

verse 5

Well, now, don’t you want to make your way to heaven,
And don’t you want to live in victory?
Well just believe in Jesus Christ and make him Lord of your life,
And you will have eternal life, just wait and see.

last chorus

I’m goin’ where, where, where the Spirit leads me.
I’m gonna share, share, share the gospel word.
And I don’t care, care, care what anybody else might say,
I’m gonna sing and shout and praise my blessed Lord.
I’m gonna sing and shout and praise my blessed Lord.
I’m gonna sing and shout and praise my blessed Lord.
I’m gonna sing and shout and praise my blessed Lord.

scripture

Psalm 150 — [1] Praise ye the LORD. Praise God in his sanctuary: praise him in the firmament of his power. [2] Praise him for his mighty acts; praise him according to his excellent greatness. [3] Praise him with the sound of the trumpet: praise him with the psaltery and harp. [4] Praise him with the timbrel and dance: praise him with the stringed instruments and organs. [5] Praise him upon the loud cymbals: praise him upon the high sounding cymbals. [6] Let every thing that hath breath praise the LORD. Praise ye the LORD.

John 3:16 — For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Philippians 2:5-11 — [5] Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: [6] Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: [7] But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: [8] And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. [9] Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: [10] That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; [11] And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

Romans 8:5-6, 14-17 — [5] For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit. [6] For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. . . . [14] For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. [15] For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. [16] The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: [17] And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.

Acts 1:8 — But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.
